HR Club: Empowering Employees - AI Integration and Upskilling for Everyone
On January 9th, 2025, the French Chamber of Great Britain hosted an engaging HR Club session at the London campus of EDHEC Business School.
We were delighted to welcome our speakers, Olga Kokshagina, Foresight, Innovation & Transformation Chair Member and Management in Innovative Health Chair Research Associate at EDHEC, along with Diane Mullenex, Global Head of Telecom, Gaming, and Gambling Practices at Pinsent Masons LLP. This session was co-chaired by Pia Dekkers and Melanie Stancliffe, Employment Partner, Cripps Pemberton Greenish.
Olga explored the progression of AI in waves, tracing its journey from past innovations to the current explosion in AI-driven advancements. Her insights set the stage for understanding how these waves of innovation are reshaping the digital workplace.
Diane provided a compelling overview of the legal implications of AI in the workplace, touching on key considerations for compliance, ethics, and governance as organizations embrace AI technologies.
A dynamic Q&A session allowed attendees to share their experiences and challenges. Topics of discussion included:
> Cybersecurity concerns in an AI-enabled environment.
> The evolving dynamics of human-AI interactions in the workplace (current employers, current employees, future talent).
> Changes in the AI-enabled digital workplace, with a focus on health and well-being and the growing issue of technostress caused by rapid technological advancements.
This event underscored the importance of collaboration and shared learning as organizations navigate the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into their workplaces.
