Makreeta LahtiHead of Strategy & Sustainability for EDF Energy

Makreeta Lahti is Head of Strategy & Sustainability for EDF Energy where she has worked since 2010. Her responsibilities stretch across EDF’s diverse range of activities in the UK, from electricity generation and new asset development to customer supply and low-carbon solutions.

Prior to joining EDF, she worked at McKinsey & Company as management consultant in different industries, focussing on energy and carbon economics.

She holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Potsdam, Germany, and a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki in her native Finland.
