Mr Jean Louet is the Managing Director for Andros in the UK, best known as the maker of the nation’s favourite jam, Bonne Maman. Mr Louet joined Andros UK 8 years ago, having previously worked in Europe and the US for companies such as Savencia and Lactalis as well as an entrepreneurial period of 6 years in Eastern Europe.
The company is the UK subsidiary of the family-owned Andros group, established shortly after WWII in the picturesque Dordogne valley and now an international food producing company with 33 factories worldwide.
As well as importing food from the continent, Andros UK is a major manufacturer of dairy desserts under the brands of the main supermarket chains in the UK. Andros bought a production facility in Somerset in 2008, recognising the advantage of the west of England’s reputation for dairy farming. When fully redeveloped in 2012, it represented then, and remains today, the largest investment and most automated production site in its category.
In 2016, Andros UK found a new home for its Sales & Marketing offices from Cambridgeshire to Hammersmith, and Mr Louet lives locally with his wife and two children.
