John Peachey Smaller
John joined HSBC in 2001 as part of the Financing Risk Advisory Group. Five years ago John set up HSBC's Financing Solutions Group within Debt Capital Markets. This team is responsible for providing strategic advice and solutions to banks, corporate and public sector entities with respect of regulatory capital, liability and risk management, balance sheet advisory and IFRS accounting guidance.Prior to joining HSBC, John undertook a number of roles within debt capital markets and advisory covering FIG and Corporate clients across Europe and the Emerging markets at JP Morgan Chase and Barclays Bank. John studied Economics and Politics at Bedford College, London University.

Rob Guyler

Rob Guyler has been with British Energy and subsequently EDF Energy for 18 years. A chartered accountant, having qualified with Coca Cola Schweppes and Mars Confectionery, Rob spent several years in Management Consultancy with Price Waterhouse before joining EDF Energy. Rob has undertaken a number of finance management roles, both operational and corporate, including that of Group Financial Controller for British Energy Group plc. and Finance, Commercial and IT Director of EDF Energy Generation

His current role is Chief Financial Officer of EDF Energy.
Married to Judi for 18 years with two children (Katia 16 and Sophia 13) Rob lives in Scotland but spends most of his working life in London.
Rob has a BSc Degree in Business Studies and ACMA accounting qualification

 
 
Aims and Objectives
The Finance Forum aims to be one of the leading voices of the financial community by bringing together key players from blue-chip and successful companies and representatives from major financial institutions. It also aims to provide a trusted space for open dialogue, to produce engaging recommendations and share best practices across the sector and also provide great networking opportunities."Funding innovation" and "Review and Perspectives of the financial regulations’ are examples of themes that have been discussed previously.

Aimed at: CFOs, Treasurers, senior representatives of financial, regulatory and academic institutions and Managing Directors of Corporate and Patron member companies.
