Château La Gordonne

La Gordonne's Côtes de Provence AOC wines are distinguished by their amplitude and their fine balance. The vineyard clings to the schist hillsides of Pierrefeu in the Massif des Maures, where Pierrefeu, Cuers, and Puget-Ville form the golden triangle of Côtes de Provence. Due to these specific characteristics, around 30 estates decided to form a winemaking association. The Pierrefeu designation was recently added to the Côtes de Provence appellation. In a decree published in the Official Journal on 7 March, Pierrefeu became the 4th designation to bear the Côtes de Provence appellation. Starting with the 2013 vintage, these wines will bear the text ‘AOC Côtes de Provence Pierrefeu’ on their labels.
