Biography of Eve Mathieu

Between 1984 and 1995 Eve worked within various Legal departments and her roles included Head of International Legal Department at Generation and Transmission Direction (expatriate assignment at CLP in Hong Kong to assist in developing the Shandong investment Project in China), Project Legal Manager on behalf of EDF, Negotiation and Creation of the EDF/CLP investment holding company based in Hong Kong), Legal Advisor at Hydropower Division and Legal Attaché at Hydropower Division. 

In 1995 Eve became Director of Asian International Projects at EDF Industry Direction, negotiating and executing equity acquisition deals in the electricity sector of the Asian countries.

In 1999 Eve moved into Customer Management as the Deputy Director of EDF Ile-de-France Services unit. She was in charge of clientèle and external development, as well as the launch and leadership of the Units customer relations policy.

In 2003 Eve moved into Human Resources.  Her roles included Director of Espace Mobilité Cadres for EDF and Gaz de France, and Manager of Recruitment & Career Paths Unit at EDF Employment Direction.

In 2007, she took a new role inside EDF as Director of Employee Brand at Group level.

In October 2011 Eve moved from Paris to London to take up the position of Resourcing, Talent and Development Director. During her short time in London Eve has built strong relationships with many external Clients including the French Embassy and has also completed a restructure of her team.

Eve Mathieu was born in 1960. She graduated from the University of Paris I with a Master’s Degree in Law in 1981, and later studied an Executive MBA HEC/CPA in 1996.
