The events organised by the French Chamber of Great Britain offer privileged contact and networking opportunities with personalities from the British and French political and business worlds, within the scope of prestigious events such as the Annual Gala Dinner, the "Dîner de la Rentrée", the Franco-British Business Awards, the Annual Financial Lunch or our Ambassador's briefs.

Our members can also develop their visibility, their contacts and grow their businesses through Industry focused events, Regional events, "Breakfast with...", "Rendez-vous chez..." or the successful Member to Member Cocktail & Exhibition which attracts more than 250 participants.

The French Chamber also organises various exclusive events for its Patron members through the year. These events are always unique and have included sport events (Opening Ceremony of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Emirates Cup), exclusive tours (Discover Ruinart, the Beefeater Distillery), art representations (Romeo & Juliet dress rehearsal, Rameau et les Arts Florissants) amongst others.

During all these events, networking is assisted by the French Chamber staff, which is on hand to assist with specific introductions.

Franco-British Business Awards
The Franco-British Business Awards (FBBA), organised by the French Chamber under the high patronage of the French Ambassador to the UK and the British Ambassador to France, were launched in 2000 to celebrate the bilateral trade and economic links between France and the UK. They have since been recognising and rewarding success in cross-border trade and investments between France and Great Britain.

Cross-Cultural Quiz Evening & Intercultural Trophy

Launched in 2015, the Cross Cultural Quiz Evening is a celebration of both the UK's and France's cultural heritage. Guests are invited to test their knowledge on both countries by answering questions on a wide range of subjects including History, Art and Politics.

During the course of the evening is awarded the Franco-British Incultrual Trophy. It is presented to companies which have made a particular effort to develop stronger ties between Britain and France or to promote Franco-British cross-cultural relations, and the winner is elected by all the Members of the Chamber. Since 2012, the Intercultural Trophy has been sponsored by AXA.



Intercultural-Trophy-for-BuDesigned by Cartier, this trophy is handed over by the winner from the last edition. Past winners include ESCP Europe (2015), Emmaus (2013), French Radio London (2012), Mazars LLP (2011), Bouygues (2010), Cinémoi (2009), Eurostar (2008), Saint-Gobain (2007), EDF Energy (2006), Renault UK (2005) and Arsenal Football Club (2004).

Ambassador's Briefs

These exclusive events, hosted three times a year at the Residence of the French Ambassador to the UK, offer a unique opportunity for our Corporate & Patron Members to be updated on the latest economical and political topics. Ambassador's Briefs are always followed by a cocktail reception, which enable members to network with their business counterparts.

Annual Financial Lunch

The Annual Financial Lunch is one of the French Chamber's biggest events of the year. It was launched in 1997 and has been sponsored by Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking ever since. This event, which traditionally takes place in November, attracts more than 150 participants from the international banking, legal, accountancy, industrial and commercial sectors.

Annual Gala Dinner
The Annual Gala Dinner is the premier black tie dinner of the French Chamber. This most glamorous event, which features a Champagne reception, live entertainment and a silent auction, is attended by 350 to 400 senior executives from the Franco-British business community.

Breakfast with...

Our "Breakfast with..." (launched in 2009 under the name "CEO Breakfast") have proved to be a resounding success. Three to four times a year, they gather about 80 key decision-makers of the Franco-British community around a prestigious guest speaker. Their unusual format (from 08.00 to 10.00) allows our busy members to network before the start of their business day.

Business Club Cocktails

These two-hour networking drinks receptions traditionally take place from 6.00 to 8.00 in a top London hotel or other prestigious venues and gather around 100 participants.


They provide members with the opportunity to network at an informal event and learn about the sponsoring company through a presentation, followed by a Q&A. These events offer guests a time conscious & efficient manner to network with a focused audience.

Dîner de la Rentrée

The "Dîner de la Rentrée" traditionally takes place in September (the month of the "rentrée"). It brings together up to 200 senior executives from the Franco-British business community around one company which provides both a guest speaker and a sponsor.

For members, this evening, which includes a networking cocktail and a dinner, is a great occasion to invite clients, guests or colleagues to meet industry leaders. It is also an opportunity to develop business network and stay informed about industry developments.

Luxury Dinner

The very first edition of the Luxury Dinner took place in 2014 and it proved to be a true success. This prestigious black-tie event gathers 200 top players from the luxury sector in the exquisite surroundings of the Claridge's. This event allows members to expend their network and strengthen existing business relations while indulging in a delicious dinner. It is also the perfect opportunity for members to invite clients and colleagues to enjoy a night of top quality entertainment. 

The 2014 edition was sponsored by Société Générale Private Banking Hambros and welcomed Nicholas Coleridge CBE (President of Condé Nast International) as guest speaker.

Member to Member Cocktail & Exhibition

A successful and highly anticipated event, the Member to Member Cocktail & Exhibition will take place for the 16th time in 2015. Gathering more than 20 exhibitors and 200 participants for an evening of networking, this event is a members' favorite. The evening is complete with exclusive offers, a delicious cocktail and a fun quiz with amazing priwes to win.

Companies have the opportunity to book a stand to showcase their business to fellow members.

The French Chamber organises five to ten top quality Patron events per year. These are open exclusively to the Main Representatives of Patron member companies.

Launched in 2013, these monthly events represent a new opportunity for members to network while discovering the products of fellow members. Trade Delegations

Every year, the French Chamber organises a trade delegation to a different city or region outside of London in order to develop and/or maintain our members' business contacts and opportunities. 

Several lunches & dinners have been organised in Manchester. In 2010, our first trade delegation to Birmingham was led by our French Ambassador to the UK. It enabled 15 key senior managers to meet local key players of the West Midlands and French companies locally based.

In 2013, the delegation met key local figures and businesses in Scotland. 

Every year, a new place of interest is visited by the delegation, led by the French Ambassador to the UK.

Women, Inspiration and Leadership

The very first edition of the French Chamber's "Women Event" took place in 2014. Every year, it gathers two women with exceptional career paths in male-dominated worlds to share their experiences and their views on the development of gender diversity in business.

The 2014 edition welcomed two former "Boss of the bosses" and "Patronne des patrons": Dame Helen Alexander and Laurence Parisot.
