Caroline studied Law with French at University (including a year studying in Paris) and having completed her legal training with a national firm, joined Bircham Dyson Bell in London in September 2003, being promoted to Partner in June 2012.
A specialist employment lawyer, Caroline advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues, providing legal, practical and strategic support to both corporate and individual clients. She has litigated a wide range of cases in the Employment and Employment Appeal Tribunals and has particular experience in discrimination and whistleblowing claims for both claimants and respondents.
Her non-contentious experience includes advising on contracts of employment, consultancy arrangements and employment policies and procedures. She has also advised extensively on business organisations, business outsourcing arrangements and the employment aspects of a wide range of corporate transactions.
Caroline has a number of clients with operations and/or headquarters overseas and regularly advises on cross-border employment issues, including in the French language as and when required.Caroline has authored chapters in Tolley’s Employment and Personnel Procedures on Equal Pay, Recruitment and Restrictive Covenants and was delighted to be asked to contribute to the FCCGB’s HR Guide which was published in 2015.
